To strengthen our Investments team in Munich we are looking for a motivated
Senior Portfolio Construction Analyst (m/f)
- Assist with designing active investment risk strategies and effective implementation of Risk Budget for Portfolio Managers. Work closely with our Portfolio Management teams, as well as interacting continuously with various teams within the Investment Division
- Focus on the portfolio managed by our Munich Investments teams, covering Equity, Fixed Income and Balanced Portfolios
- Optimize fund structure by seeking new ways of constructing portfolios and challenging investment ideas
- Responsible for developing quantitative techniques that support portfolio managers in their investment decisions. This involves in particular strong interaction between Financial Engineering and the Quant Analytics Development group to further the development of Pioneer Investments risk approaches and systems
- Analyze and optimize the performance/risk ratio of all our portfolios under management
- Contribute to the design of the Pioneer proprietary risk systems to support risk budgeting and active risk management
- Implement prototypes to support proposed quantitative approaches and to assess their effectiveness before their migration into the global system
- Develop models to identify the factors that drive performance and enhance it
- Design new strategies to improve portfolio performance profile Support Senior Management and Portfolio Managers in driving business successes through a critical and constructive analysis of the composition of funds
- University degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Economics (or comparable degree)
- Exposure to the financial services sector an advantage
- Experience with equity portfolios is an advantage
- Previous work experience in Portfolio Management of Risk Analysis
- Programming experience desirable
- Experience in a customer service area beneficial
- Fluent in English and German
- Excellent analytical skills, knowledge of Numerical Quantitative Research techniques
