Senior Portfolio Manager

The Alaska Permanent Fund was established in 1976 to provide benefits for both current and future generations of Alaskans. APFC manages the roughly $46 billion in Fund assets, with a 12% target allocation to asset classes covered by the Private Markets team (Private Equity, Private Credit and Infrastructure). This position will report to the Senior Portfolio Manager I / Private Markets.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for evaluating existing and prospective Private Market fund investments and developing the fund’s Private Equity Co-Investment program. The position will provide analytical support for existing and prospective investments in private market funds or portfolio companies; represent APFC as a co-investor or as a limited partner on advisory boards; and participate in due diligence assignments and investment committees.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related field. (MBA or Master’s degree in a related field, and/or the CFA or a related professional certification is preferred.)

A minimum of 5 years related work experience (10+ years is preferred, including experience as a fund investor and a direct investor in private markets investments)

Proven experience developing financial cash flow models of investments, performing capital structure analysis, and valuation models

Strong communication and presentation skills
