Senior Portfolio Manager recruitment
Experienced in global equities with an Asian bias, you are a top performer with the ability to execute top-down regional allocation and bottom-up equity research. You will work with a dynamic team and will contribute ideas and give feedback in the investments of the existing mandates, which include global equities, Asian equities, and China equities (Hong Kong-listed). There is no particular style bias of the portfolios, which focus on delivering attractive risk-adjusted medium- to long-term return through top-down allocation, bottom-up stock selection and active cash management across market cycles.
Adept at constructing and managing actively managed portfolios with a focus on global equities with an Asian Bias, you will conduct sector/ thematic research and draw upon the research resources of the private bank and Global Research analysts, as well as selected external broker research, in making portfolio decisions. You will partner with product specialists, portfolio/ investment counselors and relationship managers to service clients and to appropriately position strategies and products, including presenting performance and investment strategies in regular client reviews and prospect pitches, and providing inputs to monthly marketing materials.
You will contribute to the Asia Investment Committee discussion, and formulate and implement investment strategies for client accounts within the broad guidance of Global and Asia Investment Committees. You will also handle the day-to-day portfolio management and monitoring of segregated client accounts with customized investment guidelines, working closely with Risk Management and Middle Office in portfolio administration.
Pre-requisites:
- University degree in business, economics or equivalent. CFA preferred
- Passion for investment with strong analytical ability
- Over 10 years of relevant investment experience
- Willing to develop expertise in new geographical areas/ sectors
- Resourceful in identifying investment ideas, which are independent of sell side research
- Prior experience in conducting equity research or discretionary portfolio management in a private banking environment preferred but not required
- Good individual investment track record with proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Good communication and presentation skills. Experience in interacting and serving a diverse client base preferred
- Fluent in English and Chinese
