Senior Pre-Sales: Private Equity Software (Location – Continental EU) recruitment
Excelsior has been engaged to conduct this search on behalf of this internationally renowned client. This is a senior Pre-Sales role which requires someone to have both industry specific knowledge in alternative assets (private equity, real estate, etc), as well as experience with a competing Private Equity software. This is a player coach role requiring someone who is able to handle dual responsibility of delivering Pre-Sales support along-side the sales team as well as mentoring an existing / growing team to improve how this department operates going forward
Responsibilities
Working with the sales team, you will conduct demonstrations of software to potential clients. These demos are critically important to the sales process and are the key to illustrating the functionalities and abilities of the software to potential clients.
In order to produce effective demonstrations, you will need to conduct fact finding and in-depth business qualifications to determine the needs of potential clients
This position will require the relevant professional to assume responsibility as team lead in a hands-on capacity. Therefore this is a very rewarding career opportunity that can truly showcase the right professionals capabilities.
- Produce responses to RFPs from potential clients
- Gather requirements of potential clients
- Implement POC's into relevant software system
- Assure that all data is properly integrated into software system
- Produce and test demo’s for accuracy and consistency
- Conduct client facing meeting to demo the system and POC's
- Properly create financial reports
- Escalate issues you may have encountered for the developers to troubleshoot
- Escalate functional enhancements based on potential clients feedback
- Configure the system when needed (understanding of programming concepts is necessary)
- Coach the pre-sales group
Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, with a minimum of five years experience
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel and some experience with a Private Equity software package
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently, while remaining motivated and focused. This requires a dutiful, conscientious nature
- A ‘can do’ attitude – willingness to accept challenges and work to deadlines
- The aptitude to deal with clients at the most senior level. This requires confidence without arrogance
- Fluency in English and one other European language (French, Spanish, German, Portuguese)
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe with occasional travel to Latin America or Africa
