Senior Presales Consultant – Asset Management Solutions recruitment
The Presales Consultant will support the sales team in the qualification, analysis and presentation of the Investment Services solution to existing and prospective clients.
Target clients are asset management companies and large and medium scale trade processing operations such as fund administration and custody businesses.
Duties and responsibilities:-
- Work closely with the Sales team to provide full presales assistance in support of the successful achievement of sales targets while adhering to cost of sales objectives.
- Illustrate the value of the Investment Services solution set to prospects in a compelling manner.
- Responsible for aligning Investment Services capabilities (products and services) with client business requirements through a professional and ethical business approach.
- Participate in the completion of submitted RFI/RFP documents, bid coordination, prospect qualification, discovery and requirements gathering, product demonstrations, technical discussions, and design solution proposals.
- Promote and support sales opportunities into existing accounts and help to ensure that customers are successful in their objectives.
- Participate in relationship retention CRM activities. Examples include the promotion of license and/or maintenance renewal upgrade proposals, and general account management activities.
- Work with other teams within the organisation to disseminate current market and business process information that is critical to maintaining a strategic, competitive and valuable solution i.e. Marketing, Product Development, and Delivery Services.
- Represent the company at Trade Show events and conferences to increase brand and solution visibility (company booth, panel discussions, industry speaker, etc.).
- Assist Partner Management in the identification and analysis of potential partner opportunities and distribution channels.
- Configure applications for demonstrations, prototyping, benchmarking and proof of concept presentations.
- Assist customers and Sales Account Managers in building a compelling business case with demonstrable ROI indicators.
You should have:-
- Broad business acumen and understanding of financial services processes.
- Robust, compelling communication skills and ability to clearly demonstrate software solutions across a range of technical and business users (Operations to Executive Level).
- Ability to confirm solution fit and to identify customer specific benefits that will help to contribute a unique business value offering.
- Ability to understand and articulate customer business requirements and develop the corresponding proposal design.
- Adaptable and flexible in approach to winning long-term business relationships.
- Creation of support materials to represent the total solution offering.
- Manage hand-over to Delivery Services for project implementation.
- Perform periodic reviews of customer needs, identifying potential issues and new sales opportunities.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong presentation, technical and sales skills.
- Basic script creation, query formulation, and programming aptitude.
- Proven use of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
- An understanding of common databases (Oracle, SQL), networking, and operating systems.
- Strong relationship building skills both internally and externally.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Responsive, reliable and results oriented.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including nights or weekends as required.
Additional requirements:
- Degree education an advantage, but not essential
- Experience in Financial Services including wholesale banking, investment management and brokerage services along with related Software experience.
- Experience in pre-sales or implementation of software solutions ideally in a similar solution area.
