Senior Pre-Sales Consultant
Job Description
The Senior Consultant is responsible for actively driving and managing the solution forming at different pre/post stages of the sales process, and to ensure and maintain the service success and high quality delivery. He/she must work in conjunction with the sales teams, technical teams, internal and/or external, as the key solution advisor for our carrier partners and wholesale customers in the region. The Senior Consultant should possess strong understanding of submarine cable systems and good understanding of the wholesale business including - IP Transit and Lease IRU of cable capacities around the world. It will be an added advantage if he/she has understanding of the customers’ industry e.g. finance, logistics, trading manufacturing, and is able to articulate organization’s technology and solution positioning to business and technical users, bridging their business needs with our solutions and the technology available. He/she must demonstrate the strong understanding of the technology, its moving trends and the business benefits to customer. The key factor is be able to understand customer business environment, needs and relevant issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the solution consulting and forming process, and leads the way to the successful service delivery. He/she must be able to establish, build and maintain strong professional relationships with the customer throughout. Previous experience in similar network service and solutions consulting in specific industry field is definitely a plus.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for customer workshops and meetings
- Communicate with customer at all levels to establish their specific business needs
- Plan, design and build specific solution, bridging the customer’s business needs
- Form and build solution out of in-house standard and external 3rd party products
- Deliver customized, high quality, professional solution presentations, and communicate benefits to the customer
- Design, propose, present wholesale data, leasing and IRU cable capacities, Internet transit, MPLS VPNs, CPE and value added application packages
- Responsible for solution design on communication products, including network infrastructure consulting
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Answer technical questions regarding products and solutions as well as the integration of our own products with customer’s network environment, and other 3rd party systems
- Convey customer business needs and requirements to Product and Development teams
- Responsible for monitoring of the support industry technology needs and service trends
Qualifications Desired Skills:
- 8+ years relevant experience in relevant network and telecommunication solution design position
- Minimum 4 years in telecommunication solution consulting design position for global carriers, wholesalers and ISPs
- Experience in telecommunication services e.g.
- Experience in working with telecom equipment such as Routers, switches, Firewalls, WAN acceleration devices, MSTP platforms, Voice etc.
- Expertise in designing solutions with CoS considerations, WAN Traffic prioritization, Encryption, and security deployments.
- In-depth knowledge of various cable systems across the world
- Expertise in IT consulting projects like data center hosting, Application server management, Citrix etc. will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of satellite transmission technologies and satellite is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Frequent travel is required
