Senior Pricing Analyst recruitment
CVS Caremark is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join its Retail Pricing Department. The pricing department is responsible for setting retail pricing strategy and executing that strategy across the front-store business for 7000 stores. The department works closely with category management to develop and ensure that our pricing strategies are tightly aligned to our business strategy and also support individual category strategies. The Senior Pricing Analyst will report to a Strategic Pricing Manager or Director.
Job Description:
The Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for but not limited to:
• Develop forward-thinking pricing strategies that optimize sales and margin
• Develop knowledge of customer shopping behaviors, category strategies, and key business drivers as input to pricing strategy
• Develop deep understanding of category financial levers including sales, markdowns, funding, and profitability as input to pricing strategy
• Continually evaluate competitors and marketplace dynamics to assess the impact on CVS business and develop pricing strategy recommendations
• Track key business metrics (e.g. sales, share, value perception, margin, customer attributes, etc.) to continually evaluate and refine pricing strategies
• Partner with Category Managers to ensure pricing strategy supports evolving business objectives
• Implement price changes as necessary to maintain category pricing strategies
• Test pricing hypotheses, measure results, and develop strategy insights and implications
• Contribute to internal pricing department and/or cross-functional projects that may include process improvement, technology development, marketing communications, store execution, etc.
Requirements:
Qualifications for the Senior Pricing Analyst Position:
• Bachelors degree in Business, Management Science, Mathematics or Economics required, Masters degree a plus
• 3+ years of experience in project leadership, business analysis, and strategy development in a retail, consulting, or consumer-packaged goods environment
• Project leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives that have significant financial impact
• Outstanding strategic thinking and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to synthesize facts and insights into concrete, actionable recommendations
• Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• Results driven, with a desire to work in a fast paced environment
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required, familiarity with Access a plus
