Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer Job in Manchester, North West UK
Our client a large multi-disciplinary practice based in Manchester / Cheshire is currently recruiting for a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer to act as design lead on various North West based projects. As one of the leaders in their field this is an opportunity with significant career prospects focused on growth sectors.
The successful engineer will be expected to manage their own workload taking on the completion design and management of multiple projects (healthcare, clean rooms, process and pharma) at any one time, to include undertaking the following duties:
· Establish and develop a client brief
· Carry out asset management duties to include condition / asset verifications surveyors and maintenance schedules
· Production of both conceptual detailed design solutions,
· Ensure mechanical designs compile with Part L regulations,
· Undertake surveys and prepare reports / feasibility studies,
· Production of technical specifications and tender documentation,
· Act as expert witness,
· Undertake site surveyors and inspections (in liaison with operations and commissioning teams)
Applicants must possess:
· Professional membership
· Degree level education (absolute min HND)
· Clean room project experience (essential)
· Strong client-facing skills
· A stable career background
This role will suit a Senior Engineer with significant clean room experience (whether in healthcare, pharma, oil gas, etc...) and who has very strong client-facing skills. With a large order book already secured for 2012 and 2013, this is a significant career opportunity.
