Job Description:

Our client, a large retail corporation located west of Boston is looking for a Senior Print Production Planner to join their team.

The Senior Production Planner is responsible for setting, managing, and meeting all company objectives by coordinating and purchasing print materials for all assigned projects. This position will set expectations and be pro-active in opening doors for creative development through researching production capabilities and providing these options to the team. Will produce a variety of projects ranging from large format signage to newspaper/magazine, FSI, collateral and direct mail pieces. This role will interact with the brand team, traffic, creative, studio and art buying to ensure that all production deliverables meet the requirements of the brand and company quality standards. As Senior Production Planner, you will offer technical training and expertise, and be extremely resourceful within and outside your department. Responsible for keeping up to date on production processes, technologies and suppliers.

Requirements:

- 5-7 years multi color printing experience, understanding of creative and production timetables

- Must have Advertising agency experience or work experience in a large corporate environment in print production role.

- Associates Degree (Bachelor's preferred) in Liberal Arts, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent job experience

- Keen eye for detail and color

- Strong technical skills in large format printing, web/sheetfed/direct mail/pre-press, retouching, 4c printing

- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to prioritize and handle large volume of projects.

- Must be able to lift 10 pounds and attend all press checks.

- Must be able to attend all walk-throughs and be responsible for the set-up of all components at store. This includes: hanging signs, adhering window clings and other material as needed.

- Ability to stand for extended period of time during walkthrough

- Travel to all press checks, by whatever mode of transportation is necessary (plane, automobile, etc.), and be able to stay at check until it is complete.

- Strong negotiation and time-management skills

- Able to partner and build relationships internally and externally

- Knowledge of Adsend a plus
