Senior Private Equity Professional, J.P.Morgan Private Equity Group recruitment
The Private Equity Group ("PEG") of J.P. Morgan Investment Management Inc. is one of the most successful and long-standing global private equity programs in the industry. The PEG manages over USD $20 billion of assets primarily through a fund-of-funds program on behalf of a diverse group of leading global intuitions and institutional investors. The team consists of 40 investment professionals operating from offices in Hong Kong, New York, and London. The investment program is focused on primary, secondary, and direct co-investment opportunities in venture capital, growth equity, and corporate finance investments.
We are seeking for a Senior Private Equity professionals for the PEG's Hong Kong office to assist with the management of a private equity portfolio of limited partnerships, direct co-investments, and secondary transactions in Greater China/Asia. Major job responsibilities are:
- Sourcing, deal origination, and due diligence of primary partnership investments, secondary transactions, and direct co-investments.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence of private equity firms and General Partners that invest in venture capital, growth equity, and buyout sectors of the market
- Preparation and writing of investment memoranda and investment recommendations
- Market analysis related to the Asian private equity markets, private equity firms, and underlying fund portfolio investments
- Analysis of historical investment performance, portfolio company performance, and financial statements
- Attend limited partner annual investor meetings and advisory board meetings
- Preparation of ongoing portfolio performance and updates
Skills
- Degree holder or above in Finance or related discipline
- Around 7 years relevant private equity industry experience, with solid Greater China working knowledge
- Knowledge in investment regulations and practices across Asia and Greater China
- Investment Management and portfolio monitoring skills
- Proficient in MS Office and Chinese word processing
- Strong self-motivation, multi-tasking ability, willingness and ability to work under high pressure and according to tight deadlines
- Ability to deliver results in a timely and accurate manner
- A team player with good presentation and interpersonal skills, equip with strong writing and communication skills
- Strong language skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin and ideally Cantonese), both written and spoken.
- Preferred job location is Hong Kong (Beijing is also under consideration)
