Senior Process Engineer
Our client is a heavy manufacturer (large job shop) producing high volume metal components for Original Equipment Manufacturers. The environment has regular exposure to noise and dirt/fumes. This position will experience moderate to high physical activity involving routine lifting, standing or walking for extended periods of time. Intermittent cold and hot temperatures. It reports to the VP of Operations.
RESONSIBILITY: Resolve manufacturing process problems, understand and enforce quality requirements, provide assistance to production, participate in continous improvement and cost reduction activity. Define and establish the process for new product launches. Produce detailed documentation of processes and verify that the processes are repeatable. Provide training to employees in die casting, equipment setup, and troubleshotting.
REQUIREMENTS: BS degree in engineering and 3 plus years experience in high pressure die casting. Wish list: 3D CAD, machining, GDT, robotics, and on the floor hands on experience.
