Job description

Responsibilities:

You will be support the a high dynamic PTD/TRH (Refining Hydroprocessing) team in Amsterdam and your main responsibilities are:

  • Develop and Lead process designs for revamps and new units.
  • Provide skilled refining process technology advice on optimal operation, catalyst selection, process reaction kinetics modeling and evaluation of plant-catalyst performance.
  • Be are part in process development studies provides process engineering input over a full project life cycle, from concept, FEED, through to successful start-up/operation in within the company, Joint Ventures and 3rd party refineries.
  • Provide technological advice into Turn-Around (TA) planning, and inspection support-reporting during the TA. Supports Plant start-up and operation thereafter.
  • Lead refining process technology licensing support to the licensing business.
  • Adhere to quality standards and ensure that all HSE, Group, Regulatory, Quality, and other appropriate standards are complied with.
  • Lead in margin improvement and energy reduction activities, technical audits, safety audits. Where relevant, also lead network in catalyst-process optimization efforts (with Criterion).
  • Participate in refining margin improvement and energy reduction activities, technical audits. 
     

Requirements

Requirements:

The perfect candidate should have the following qualifications: 

  • Sound Chemical Process Engineering (PE) with minimum 3 years Refining field experience in  either Operations, Advanced Process Control, Supply Chain Optimization Programming or in at least one relevant refining technology.
  • Skill competency level in his/her discipline, with demonstrated capability in process engineering simulation programming and modeling.
  • Strong Analytical and Mathematics skills.
  • Knowledge of refining-hydroprocessing technologies, feedstocks, products and applications.
  • Professional English knowledge.

 Personal skills:

  • The perfect candidate should have the following personal skills:
  • You should have the ability to develop and maintain customer relations.
  • Passionate to be PE simulation modelling expert.
  • Result driven and a good team player.
  • You should bring intercultural awareness and also be able to work independently quickly, and take ownership of the work assigned.
  • To be interested to develop yourself as an expert required for this specific role.
