Senior Procurement Analyst Job in Calgary, Alberta Canada
Our downtown client, in the oil and gas industry, is seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst to work within the Drilling and Well Procurement area. This role will be responsible for taking the lead in the identification of commercial business opportunities, the development of strategies for such, market analysis, management of the process, execution of agreements complete with development of KPIs, and contract monitoring for performance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Development of procurement and contracting strategy in cooperation with business area
- Procurement strategy implementation and execution
- Bid issuance, clarifications, analysis and recommendation
- Working in a cross-functional team to represent commercial requirements
- Contract negotiations, award and formation
- Single/sole source recommendations as required
- Market analysis and analysis of supplier performance
- Management of HSE pre-qualification, Integrity Due Diligence and CSR responsibilities
- Development and monitoring of KPIs and supplier performance management
- Coaching and mentoring colleagues
Qualifications Include:
- Minimum 7 -10 years of relevant experience
- SAP experience or equivalent ERP system experience
- Work experience supporting in the Drilling and Well, Seismic, Petroleum Technology Procurement area
- Experience in executing and managing large service agreements as well as the purchase of goods and materials
- Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter, capable and willing to learn and develop
- Ability to manage large workload with numerous demands occurring at the same time
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written, both internally and externally
- Good presentation skills, strong analytical abilities, proven leadership skills and decisiveness
- Demonstrates good understanding of legal terms and risks
