Senior Product Controller – Projects recruitment

- up to $150k equivalent rate.
- IR, CR, Debt OTC product focus
The position will initially be responsible for helping drive forward the project agenda within Global Markets Product Control, partnering closely with BAU Product Control to ensure the right initiatives are prioritised and implemented seamlessly.
Once project deliveries have been completed the role will transition into BAU Product Control team manager / supervisory role. This will involve a leading role in Product Control driving forward process improvements and raising the control environment.
The key functions of the role will include the following:
– Representing Product Control on relevant project initiatives
– Liaise with Business Unit Managers and offer advice and direction regarding requirements and the resolution of issues.
– Act as the key interface between Finance, the Project Teams and Finance Technology.
– Manage the end-to-end system integration and user acceptance testing on behalf of Finance.
– Working with Product Control teams on issues in PL valuations, rates etc...
– Upward reporting to the Head of Product Control Transformation and CFO Markets and Treasury.
Experience Required:
A degree in finance/accounting, ideally with post graduate studies in mathematics or associated discipline. CA or CPA qualified.
Experience Required:
• Experience in Finance and Accounting or market risk in a major financial institution at a senior level.
• 5+ years experience in a Product Control Function, including complex products, ideally obtained in a major bank.
• Interest Rate product knowledge.
• Experience of major project implementations.
• Detailed knowledge, experience and understanding of Financial Services industry
