Corporate and Commercial Banking is a strategic growth area forSantanderUKand you will be joining us at an exciting time as we embark on a range of programmes and activities to support our growth aspirations. We have a great opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Product Manager to work with a dynamic and award winning marketing team. The role will be specifically focussed on a range of Corporate and Commercial Banking lending products.
The vacant role within the debt products team will align to the team's mission statement of;
"Innovating, refining and challenging the product mix for all SCCB stakeholders, with a relentless aim to add value in all that we do"
As Senior Product Manager your responsibilities will include:-
- Ownership of a group of lending products, tracked via a complete balanced scorecard
- Contributing to the marketing strategy for a range of lending products and targets
- Leading the enhancements to existing and delivery of new propositions
- Identifying and delivering initiatives to support SCCB
- Establishing strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Front Line Sales and Relationship Teams, Brand Communications, Compliance, Legal, IT Finance
As Senior Product Manager your skills and experience will include:-
- Sound knowledge and experience gained in a financial services environment with a proven track record in product management/development and experience in lending products.
- Experience in business case development - ability to develop complex business cases and pricing proposals, presenting a clear proposition and financial benefits.
- Strong commercial acumen - an in-depth understanding of all financials relating to a specific product (revenue, margins, profit)
- Strong influencing skills, developed and refined through experience of business case and proposition development
- Understanding of key marketing principles - ability to competently apply a range of marketing principles and practices and able to coach develop others in techniques
- Understanding of key insight tools - in-depth knowledge of customers, industry, competitor activity, market position for major products/product group.
- Educated to degree level and/or hold a relevant Marketing qualification e.g. CIM
Above all, the ability to influence without direct authority is a core requirement, as all product development and reviews by the debt product team, involves stakeholder management of, in excess of 25 different divisions, all with their own issues and concerns to be managed and resolved via the debt products team.
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 plus benefits package
