GENERAL SUMMARY Drives software lifecycle. Represents the product vision, value proposition, and functionality to all audiences. Responsible for the "end to end" business of multiple products. Creates content which describes and communicates product value, vision and product roadmap for customers, analysts, and internal audiences. Creates product strategy associated with a product. Understands the competitive ecosystem. Leads cross-functional product teams to be passionate about delivering solutions that customers want and use. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Manages multiple products or product family without direct supervision. Provides guidance to Associate and Product Managers. Shapes and champions new direction for products or product family. Prepares and presents the business case supporting a particular product associated with the product line and/or product family to any audience. · Evaluates and drives product management processes (e.g., long term product strategic business and product requirement plans). Ensures the right blend of trade-offs to maximize the product impact in the marketplace (competition, timing, costs, internal capabilities). · Manages the collection and definition of candidate features and functions across all cross-functional areas resulting in the Product Requirements Document. · Considers data from all sources, e.g., customer requirements, market analysis data, revenue numbers. Analyzes and understands competitors and their products as well as potential partner relationships for the product along with Business Development. · Researches market need and creates the business case for assigned product. Analyzes financial impact of program changes. Drives cost model for products. Tracks, forecasts, and reports key performance indicators for assigned products, and introduce features and processes to influence change. · Leverages product/market knowledge to assist cross-functional groups including Product Marketing and field personnel with training content. · Drives Product Marketing and Program Management to develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan for a product, working with all departments to execute. · Leads research, development, and presentation of new product concepts to gain timely management approval and handling of issues for product feature/function set. Drives solutions across development teams (primarily Engineering Development and Marketing) through Product requirements, product contract, and positioning. · Develops key value propositioning and messaging for products and drives product roadmap to fulfill it. · Leverages Software Development Life Cycle principles to create and deliver product roadmap.
