Senior Product Manager, Datafeeds recruitment

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for full-life cycle product management for select Investment Management Datafeed Solutions, including Reuters Fundamentals and Worldscope Fundamentals. S/he will be responsible for collecting and prioritizing customer and market requirements, understanding and communicating market direction and competitive activity, driving, maintaining and communicating product roadmap, authoring business and functional requirements, and acting as a subject matter expert for the product to drive revenue. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of sales support related to the product and will have a key client-facing role in major sales cycles.
This role involves interacting with multiple internal stakeholders across the organization, including strategic business units, development, infrastructure, client services, and other internal cross functional teams as well as external clients and content vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities including product launches, sunsets and migrations
- Execute on the product strategy and roadmap by managing and implementing initiatives through the product development process
- Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by direct engagement of customers and prospects
- Prepare detailed product requirements and coordinate review and approval of the requirements with Development, Project Management, QA and other responsible parties
- Work closely with development, Quality Assurance, content and product resources to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery of product enhancements and new products
- Understand market trends and technology advancements and incorporate knowledge into product plans
- Engage with IRC and others to articulate and drive feed requirements in the development of Strategic Data Interfaces
- Determine product priorities and adjust as business drivers change and support ongoing analysis, prioritization and scheduling of defect fixes
- Define and communicate features and benefits/key selling points and competitive positioning to key stakeholders including regional business managers, sales/account managers and support teams as well as external clients
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand their workflow and information needs and use of Thomson Reuters products and services
- Assist in pre-sales, post-sales and entitlements management as needed

Skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in physics, math or engineering
- 5+ years experience in financial data
- Software development process experience
- Good understanding of technology and its use in the financial market to apply to product development
- Good understanding of investment management/quant workflow and processes
- Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate and collaborate at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive product strategy and deliver results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel on occasion to clients sites and roadshows
