Senior Product Manager
TEKsystems is a searching for a Senior Product Manager opportunity with a local client of ours located in the San Diego area. This is a direct hire opportunity. The Product Manager will be responsible for bridging the gap between the customer and Engineering as well as enabling Sales and Marketing to effectively drive the PL. Specific areas of responsibility will include: Research-creating a comprehensive and clear definition of the ecosystem, engaging all parts of that ecosystem and identifying needs and business priorities for all, leveraging extensive customer (surveys, interviews, focus groups, in home and in-office visits and product feedback) -include market data in product planning activities (technology trends and competitive analysis Define strategy and portfolio-develop a compelling and differentiated value proposition and positioning for all parts of the customer experience, develop and manage a complete product roadmap, and work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop a distribution and pricing strategy Develop/Build- partner with Engineering in the creation of their technical roadmap, work closely with Engineering to evaluate execution options and any potential tradeoffs in customer experience, participate in the prioritization process for all products and participate closely with Usability and User-Centered Design group Market-Provide Sales and Marketing functions with materials, training and support to entire portfolio and coordinate with marketing to develop and maintain a pricing strategy Sell- Monitor PL to understand the effectiveness of offerings and cost of support A qualified candidate will have experience with the following: -Experience in banking, online banking, mobile banking and/or related industries is a must -Strong analytical skills -Must be able to collaborate with other functions on a daily basis including ability to understand objectives, constraints, and modify ones own approach to better serve others -Minimum 8 years work experience with at least 4 in Product Management -Previous PL ownership a plus, must have managed at least a product line or multiple product lines -Demonstrated ability to engage a large and sometimes new/undefined ecosystem, identify the needs of it's members and develop solutions that meet those needs -experience with consumer products, usability and user-centered design -Experience with mobile solutions is a big plus (hardware, application, carrier or other) -Professional experience in additional functions preferred, including Engineering, Sales and Business Development -History of executing definitive agreements -Startup experience is a plus -Must be capable on PC and Mac platforms and with Microsoft Office Applications -Excellent communication skills-written and verbal -B.S. with technical focus a plus, MBA very desirable
