Requirements
Looking to do more than just apply typical classical Marketing" approaches to new products? Then come join our team.
Are you an innovator? Do you thrive as part of a committed team that welcomes creative ideas? The Bose Personal Audio team has an exciting opportunity for a top notch product manager. The Personal Audio business is an exciting, growth product segment within the Home Entertainment Division (HED) and is chartered with leveraging unique and differentiated Bose technology in diverse multimedia markets.
We are seeking a highly motivated, consumer electronics enthusiast to join the team responsible for the award-winning Bose Sound Dock digital music system product line as we pursue new product opportunities to apply Bose technologies and expertise in large and/or growing markets.
In this highly visible role, you will advise and assist the category director and HED's Senior Management Team on marketing and product development opportunities. You must be fluent in the languages of technology, business and product marketing/management. You will be required to establish a vision for new products, championing that vision globally throughout the company and work closely with product development to make that vision real. You must intimately understand first-hand a variety of markets to make sure that in each case Bose's technology meets with a customer need. You must be willing and able to listen to multiple perspectives and form solid conclusions. You will support product feature decisions, initiate primary and secondary market research, market segmentation, distribution assessment, and competitive analysis to evaluate a variety of potential applications, and write business plans to justify concepts for further investment. For those concepts that are approved, you will manage them through product development and lead a team to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing launch plan.
You will be exposed to many organizations within Bose, including product development, manufacturing, marketing communications, and sales so you will understand how a product is conceived, designed, marketed and sold.

Initiation to this position consists of thoroughly understanding the philosophies that make Bose the company that it is, followed by deep engagement with Bose's technical staff to understand the Corporation's capabilities, followed by immersion in the outside world to connect our technology with customers' needs. Your abundant self-motivation, creativity, intellectual curiosity, capacity to juggle conflicting priorities, and ability to see clearly in the midst of uncertainty will be your best allies.
