Senior Product Manager, Savings Products- 12 month maternity leave contract
The team:
The Deposit Transactions Team (DT) has overall responsibility for the revenue and profitability of the Deposit and Transaction lines of business, encompassing transaction accounts, term deposits and savings accounts.
The role:
We currently have a 12 month maternity leave contract available for a Senior Product Manager, Savings Acquisition, who will beresponsible for the end to end profitable growth of our flagship products Netbank Saver and GoalSaver. This includes the strategy, pricing, marketing/sales and portfolio management of these products.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Working in partnership with Analytics and Finance to continually enhance product reporting, analysis and insight generation.
- Working in partnership with Marketing to execute product acquisition campaigns across all channels.
- Working in partnership with channel and customer experience team to optimise product distribution and customer experience
- Monitoring impacts of competitors, industry / market trends, regulatory changes, compliance issues and Reserve Bank monetary policy (especially interest rates) on product performance, and develop tactics and strategies to mitigate impacts and optimise product performance.
- Developing and implementing product acquisition and pricing strategies.
- Leading the strategic direction of product price modelling in partnership with the Retail Pricing Team.
- Researching and identifying strategic opportunities to continuously enhance savings product offerings and drive profitable growth.
- Responsibility for the performance management of 1 FTE
What will help you succeed?
- Tertiary qualification in marketing/management/business related field
- Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally focussing on retail banking products
- Strong awareness of productivity and process efficiency
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to think laterally, logically and strategically
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to generate commercial insights
