Senior Product Marketing Manger recruitment
The ideal candidate will apply creativity, experience, and leadership to enable the company to expand client relationships, increase market share and strengthen brand awareness in the marketplace. Responsibilities will include defining value propositions and key messaging, establishing industry thought leadership, creating supporting sales tools and field enablement programs, setting visions for customer and industry solutions, and helping to plan and support innovative marketing programs that generate sales opportunities.
Location: NY or Boston
- Thought leadership and Demand Generation – As a lead product evangelist, establish TIBCO Spotfire and yourself as a leader and innovator in the analytics and data discovery market for the Financial Services industry and with corporate Finance professionals. Define the marketing mix necessary to execute the go-to-market strategies around industry solutions and value propositions and help support the implementation with appropriate marketing teams. Create whitepapers, byline industry thought leadership articles/whitepapers, and deliver webcasts. Help to recruit webcast/presentation speakers based on establishing relationships with customers and industry analysts.
- Solution Strategy – Closely follow marketplace trends and create a vision for TIBCO based on the “tectonic” shifts on the horizon for the function, to better prepare our products, solutions, capabilities, and story for the future. Work closely with media and analysts to convey TIBCO’s viewpoints and to evolve the company’s position. Articulate requirements and priorities of the application area to product strategy functions to influence platform development. Team with appropriate stakeholders (internal or partners) to bring relevant solutions to market.
- Field Enablement and Sales Support – Actively participate in customer visits to develop, test, and refine messaging and sales tools. Work with sales team and management to identify and address weaknesses in the pipeline, messaging and sales tools. Develop sales tools and training materials to improve sales productivity and effectiveness and lead the field organization. Closely monitor key competitors and develop appropriate sales tools and customer-facing programs to project the company’s differentiating value to target buyers.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of product marketing experience required, with 3+ years in enterprise software. Experience with business intelligence, analytics, or relevant software applications preferred.
- Experience in the financial services industry, i.e., banking, investment banking, capital markets (buy and sell side), or insurance; subject matter knowledge in areas such as risk management, portfolio management, trading operations, sales and marketing, retail banking/insurance business operations, or corporate finance.
- Willing to travel ~15-20% to provide appropriate sales and marketing event support.
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills; comfortable giving live customer-facing presentations, webcasts and software demonstrations to business and technical executives.
- MBA preferred. BS degree required.
