Senior Product Specialist – Sales recruitment

The position comprises three main functions:

• building and maintaining an effective distribution network

• servicing TCW’s distributors and clients, and

• developing the organizational structure in Europe

This position will require frequent travel around Europe. The position is based in Paris.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 General

• Increase TCW’s European asset base

• Effectively articulate TCW/MetWest’s fixed income, equity and alternative expertise, including investment philosophies, processes and strategies

• Work well as a team member; create a common line of behavior and a professional face to clients and the market

• Contribute to TCW’s culture of discipline, excellence and openness

Distribution specific

• Build and effectively manage relationships with TCW’s main distribution partner

• Utilize and enhance your client base to promote TCW directly

TCW Europe specific

• Build a database for TCW’s target prospects and clients

• Monitor current assets and future fund inflows and outflows to adjust and optimize TCW’s marketing efforts

• Supervise NAV calculations and detect distortions from the composite

• Participate in the production of monthly updates and commentaries

• keep your knowledge as a product specialist for TCW’s strategies up to date

Operations specific

• Implement and feed the firm’s CRM system

• Oversee client and capital on boarding

• Provide input on our product range in Europe with respect to new strategies, investment vehicles (SIF, SICAV, Funds) and country specialties

• Watch competition for new products, new strategies and fee policies with respect to the offer of asset managers and the appetite from investors

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong sales/product specialist background; at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the asset management industry

• Strong client base with excellent relationships in one or several European countries

• Demonstrated ability to raise assets

• Demonstrated ability to effectively build and manage relationships

• Excellent team player; strong interpersonal skills

• Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills in English, French and a third language

• Solid understanding of investment products (fixed income, equities, alternatives), the set up of mutual funds and separately managed accounts.
