A vacancy exists at Barwon Youth in Geelong, for a dynamic and experienced worker to deliver the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) youth mentoring program.
Applicants for this position are required to have extensive experience in working with disadvantaged young people and skills in volunteer recruitment, assessment and training are highly desirable.
The BBBS program provides one to one mentor support to young people aged 12-18 years, from the Geelong area who may be disengaged from education and community life and in need of additional adult support.
Applicants for the BBBS Senior Worker must possess qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work or related Social Science discipline. Conditions as per the Social Community, Home Care Disability Services Industry Award 2010. Salary is in accordance with SACS Award Qualified Youth Worker Class 3. An attractive salarypackage is offered including pro-rata 5 weeks paid Annual Leave (with option of additional week Purchased Leave).
