About our Client

Due to growth within the Iron Ore projects office our client is looking to recruit a Senior Project Engineer to join the team at its Perth based office. This company is an Australian based engineering and project management business providing a diverse range of services across the Mining and Resources sector.

Job Description

As Senior Project Engineer, you will carry the following primary responsibilities:

• Share responsibility with Study Manager driving scoping studies on behalf of the client.
• Oversee and prepare tendering processes and contracts management.
• Manage engineering projects and processes i.e project plans, procedures, design team management, and engineering packages cost reporting and estimations.
• Oversee and coordinate vendors for engineering, construction and delivery of packages to site.
• Overall responsibility to ensure key project milestones are met in conjunction with client expectations.
• Manage construction phases ensuring high quality output by contractors and sub contractors, adopting strategic cost control and variation justifications.

The Successful Applicant

• Suitably Degree qualified in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years experience within the Mining industry.
• Background in design of Process Plants with recent experience in Project Engineering.
• Iron Ore experience preferable.
• High level of ability in managing teams and driving team performance.
• Strong level of commercial acumen - Excellent communication and organisational skills.
