This position for a Design Engineer capable of coordination of testing as well as being responsible for projects, design work on Pro-E and SAP functions. The position contributes support functions required of the various product engineering groups in advancing the company’s competitive strategies. This position contributes toward the introduction of new product lines and maintenance of current product lines. These functions are performed either independently or with minimal supervision of the product engineering manager requesting the work. The position requires the ability to work directly with the product engineers, sales and marketing in a team environment. Prioritization of work and good communications skills are critical to success.

Perform engineering tasks under limited supervision of engineering manager.

Project manager on small to medium size projects.

Design and develop CAD models working with Marketing to fulfill customer requests.

Perform tests to determine characteristics and performance of Rockwell Automation and competitive products

Perform qualification tests on experimental prototypes and pilot order products for new products being developed

Prepare summary reports of test results and procedures as required for engineering analysis and review.

Prepare and revise corporate documentation as required.

Assist engineers in evaluation of Product Service Requests performing tests as specified to assure timely customer responses.

Schedule and monitor requests for effective equipment utilization when so designated.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering Sciences.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Basic knowledge of power products such as contactors, circuit breakers, and disconnects. Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, test procedures, and specific equipment as required to as accomplish the assigned task. Pro-E and/or SAP experience a plus. Minimum experience required 5 years in Engineering.
