senior Project Manager
This role is for an experienced Project Manager to join the Cash Management delivery group, to work in this complex environment to manage and deliver change for the business through multiple programs of work. Deliveries are varied, from front to back office, cash and derivatives systems and users.
Applicants from front, middle or back office are welcomed - key points here are complexity of delivery, good discipline of milestone management and a sound grasp of the importance of commercial Programme Management.
The successful Project Manager will play a key role across these programs to
- Work with technology, operations and business groups to define, shape and manage projects and programs to meet business objectives.
- Translate ambiguous business objectives into firm program and project deliverables.
- Deliver successfully on program objectives in agreed timeframes. Precision in delivery is a major factor in the success of this role.
- Act as trouble shooter to own the most complex issues that arise across programs and drive to resolution
Key skills/ experience:
- Extensive project and program experience with a proven record of delivery.
- Good understanding of Investment Banking products and business processes.
- Complete understanding of the Project Management Life Cycle and processes to be followed throughout and good understanding of Agile
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to communicate authoritatively and effectively at the MD and ED level
- Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix management environment.
- Superb organisational skills and able to produce project and program artefacts of the highest quality
- Able to understand, explain and present complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in a persuasive and convincing manner
- Able to analyse and explain the risks involved in deploying technology solutions to solve business or organizational problems
- Able to define and manage plans, taking end to end ownership and full accountability for meeting project delivery dates. Precision in delivery is a major factor in the success of this role.
This is a senior VP or Executive Director role, based in London, very visible and responsible for critical deliveries. Strong compensation package accompanies the role.
