Project Manager - Basingstoke - Life Pensions - £45K+
My client a leading Life Pensions business with a worldwide presence is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager in the Basingstoke area.
Located in Basingstoke the Project Manager will work within a change management team, liaising with all functional areas across multiple sites, with responsibilities ranging from the delivery of large complex projects within the companies Change Portfolio and delivering programmes and/or projects to agreed quality, methodology, schedule and budget.
Key Accountabilities
* Define and shape large complex programmes/projects ensuring that critical success criteria and business benefits are understood.
* Scope, estimate and plan the delivery of complex change in line with the companies' Strategic Imperatives.
* Control and manage the monitoring of project costs, deliverables and deadlines.
* Ensure accurate reporting of project progress, risks, issues and dependencies.
* Prepare and carryout effective Post Implementation Reviews ensuring lessoned are learnt and the continuous improvement of processes.
* Develop and maintain relationships with all parties in order to minimise conflict, reduce risks, and manage dependencies.
* Identify stakeholders, both internal and external and establish strong stakeholder management.
* Define and agree appropriate programme/project governance structure forums for significant projects, clarifying all key roles responsibilities
* Facilitating programme/project governance meetings supplying an appropriate level of reporting.
* Estimate the effort required and secure resources and construct teams to ensure achievement of project objectives.
* Estimate, monitor, control and report on cost, plans forecast, to ensure cost effective project management, support cost/benefit analysis, and to assist the Company in managing its overall financial performance.
* Identify, assess, control, monitor and report on Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Constraints, to ensure that all risks are managed, all issues resolved, all assumptions validated, and all constraints are recognised.
* Apply and comply with appropriate and agreed standards, policies, procedures and rules, in order to reduce risks and ensure a consistent professional approach.
* Facilitate best practise amongst the Project Management team and mentor junior PMs.

* Excellent track record of project delivery
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent Planning skills
* MS Project Sharepoint
* A professional organised approach with the ability to work under pressure
Qualification Job Related Experience
* Prince 2, MSP
* Successful track record of delivering projects within Financial Services ideally Life and Pensions in the areas of Operations, Compliance, Servicing, Technology etc.
* Familiar with a BPO environment
* Track record of delivering significant complex programmes/projects to time, cost quality.
