Senior Project Manager Job
This unique opportunity offers the chance for a proven Senior Project Manager to hone their skills in a successful lead delivery and handover for numerous projects up to the $100 million mark.
Key responsibilities would include:
• Promote total job safety and environmental awareness to employees, subcontractors and all persons on projects and stress to all employees and subcontractors the importance senior management attaches to safety and the environment.
• Compliance with appropriate OHS Legislation
• Oversee the effective management and successful and timely completion of projects
• Manage the Project Manager's Engineers to ensure their duties are carried out in accordance with objectives
• Assist in the preparation of operating budgets and ensure agreed objectives for new work won, EBIT, safety and the environment are achieved
• Management of Construction Methodologies and general documentation for adoption in Tenders
• Assist with building existing and recommending and establishing, new relationships with key clients, consultants and partners in the region
• Provide regular reporting on major projects and new business as required
• Providing technical, commercial and functional direction related to all aspects of contracting and material management. This will include administering project tenders, subcontracts, purchase orders, expediting and supplier performance assessment
• Administering and implementing the Project Execution Plan to ensure all contractual obligations are met in compliance with contract specifications
The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership across multi faceted projects overseeing project performance, including the application of standard and advanced techniques, tools and processes. You will be working with a very experienced and well respected team where you will be the technical reference point for a variety of projects.
Key requirements:
• Relevant engineering tertiary qualification in either civil or construction management
• Minimum of 10-15yrs project management experience in major resource or infrastructure projects
• Broad understanding of wide range of construction techniques, HSE responsibilities and risk/contingency assessment
• Broad understanding of construction and infrastructure design principles
• Competent in understanding and interpretation of conditions of contract affecting all stakeholders
• Sound understanding of financial reports, e.g. Budgets/Forecast, and interrogation of project financial reports (Workbench)
• Proven ability to lead, direct and deliver results within agreed time frames
• Absolute integrity and acumen with demonstrable success in negotiating and problem solving within a structured, outcome driven process
