Senior Project Manager Job in Edmonton T6x 1E9, Alberta Canada
Sprague-Rosser is currently seeking an experience project manager to support our operations. This position will lead the operations team to ensure successful planning and execution of the project scope, final turnover to the client and the project close out is completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure company safety standards are met or exceeded on all sites;
- Provide strong leadership and clear direction to team members. Coach and mentor team members while ensuring that project schedules and commitments are being met within financial targets and project deadlines;
- Oversee and assist in the developing the execution plan and schedule for each project;
- Manage the contract to ensure obligations are met and processes are followed to ensure payment for services;
- Oversee project expenditures, commitments, paid to date and expected to complete reports throughout the project to ensure everything is aligned to the project budget;
- Work in conjunction with other teams to develop processes that increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Completion of post secondary education in civil engineering or a related discipline.
- 8 to 10 years experience managing heavy civil construction projects
- Ability to deveop and report monthly project financials
- Proven ability to develop relationships with clients and teams within the company
- Contract negotiation/management skills
- Solid understanding of bidding, purchasing, cash flow Human Resource practices, and the ability to adapt to challenging situations and pressure related deadlines
