Senior Project Manager Job in Herndon 20170, Virginia Us
This role will be supporting a 3G project in Mexico/Brazil/Argentina. We plan to recruit 2-3 senior project managers to manage the project delivery in the local market and they will be directly responsible for communicating directly with cusotmer's headquarters management team in Reston, VA. They will work together with customer’s corresponding project manager, so diligently managing the customer relationship is also important.
This position will require extensive long-term travel to Latin America (3-4 months) with limited return trips during the course of the project.
Responsibilities:
a) Responsible for total project management as the primary representative and coordinator between the company and client.
b) Focus on customer satisfaction - managing customer expectations and requirements, creating an integrated project plan and taking responsibility for the final project result.
c) Be responsible for cultivation and management of project team members.
Requirements:
Education Background: Bachelor or above in telecommunication, computer science or related major.
Experience:
a) Three years or more experience in the communications industry.
b) Five years or more experience in customer-oriented project management as a project manager.
c) Three years or more experience in managing project teams (5-30 people) from subcontractors.
Knowledge and skills:
a) Ability to understand the customer’s requirements in the communications industry and communicating with customer’s management team.
b) Successful experience in team management and basic capabilities required for leadership development.
c) Successful experience in project management and capability to manage programs.
d) Proven success managing customer satisfaction during project delivery, knowledge of customer satisfaction management methods including customer expectation and perception management, and good customer communication skills.
e) Good coordination skills, communication management, and willingness to drive other people to solve problems, skilled in resource management and contract management.
