The Client

Is a well established Civil Engineering contactor who provides ground improvement solutions used in infrastructure, buildings and civil engineering contracts on projects ranging up to £150 million. They are a nationwide contractor with highly professional and accredited team of experts in the ground engineering sector.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director and providing management and technical expertise to: support the activities of the project team, at both Preconstruction and Project Delivery and post delivery (handover) stages - ensure the level of service provided by the project team is maintained and enhanced - assist in the development of the project team and project processes procedures in use by the business - support the delivery of the company's Project Plans. - Ensuring effective sub-contract packages are taken out. Projects are taken out to budget and on time. Manage a site team of up to 100 men including sub-contract site teams. Assist the Project Director in carrying out his forecasting and project reports to the Managing Director

Requirements

The successful candidate will require the following: -

• A leader with drive motivation: able to build encourage the team and to get the best out of people - Organised, highly numerate and with good Excel general keyboard skills.
• Proven contractual commercial skills and experience. - Knowledge experience of JCT NEC3 contracts and subcontracts. -
• A natural communicator proven Leader.
• Appropriate formal qualifications / education Principal Duties Ensuring effective month-end reporting, project forecasting and project review Support and where necessary take a lead in effectively resolving contractual/commercial disputes •
• Support and where necessary assist the Project Director in processing contract documentation, insurance claims and the like •
• Review of Project resourcing, planning and any staffing issues.
• Training development of existing commercial staff and induction of new staff, at all levels. •
• Assisting in the Implementation within the OU and, over time, development of the commercial elements, including the Forecasting Reporting aspects.
• Coordination communication within the commercial team, with other parts of the OU and within the BU more widely knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required
