One of Australia‘s largest and most respected contractors is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their local Newcastle team and deliver this $30M mining project.
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for supervising a team of engineers, Safety and quality officers and Supervisors to ensure the project is delivered on time and under budget. You will have an excellent commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate, prepare and manage sub-contracts from beginning through until the end of the project.
You will have excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate and drive those around to hit key project targets. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with clients and ensure that the project delivered exceeds their expectations.
You will have an excellent knowledge of both detailed and bulk excavation, concrete and steel structures and have previously worked as a Project Manager delivering mine site infrastructure projects. Qualifications in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering are desirable, however candidates that have trade qualifications and strong project management experience will be considered.
