Introduction: Montash Associates have been engaged by a top Investment Bank to assist in the attraction and acquisition of a senior (VP level) Project Manager who will join and lead a team of developers on business-critical projects.
The Organisation: A top-tier investment bank, one of the few that has performed well over the past year and that is now looking to grow a key business area
The Team: A combined onshore / offshore development team within Prime Brokerage Technology that is creating best-in-class, cutting edge solutions to business users.
The Role: There is a requirement for an individual to lead a build team to develop technology solutions. The selected candidate will be expected to do the following:
- Responsible for defining functional requirements and technical design with Prime Brokerage IT, Business, and Product Development and cross technology groups.
- Directly manage development and project management resources.
- Set priorities for work in other technology teams.
- Partner with multiple stakeholders on prime services strategic objectives.
- Present program status to senior management across business, product and technology organizations.
- Act as a point of escalation for regional support.
The Skills: the following skill set is required:
- Strong technical foundation in build and release environments
- Knowledge of UNIX, Unify RDBMS, SQL, J2EE, Flex UI, MQ messaging, Oracle DB and backend technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to motivate the team and be self-motivated, able to set effective priorities to achieve immediate and long-term goals.
- Must have appropriate soft-skills for interaction with senior business, operations and technology partners.
- Able to meet deadlines under high-pressure environments, having dealt with diverse group of professionals.
- Adhereable to SDLC standards and maintains high quality project documentation and program status for senior management reporting.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and set direction based on agreed business and technology objectives.
- Other software: Visio, PowerPoint, MS Projects
- Degree level qualifications.
- Excellent project management certifications preferred.
- Defect management through Quality Centre
The Package: This bank is looking to attract the best candidates from competitors; as a result they won’t be beaten on total comp. A base of up to £120,000 plus a very good discretionary bonus mean that only the best need apply.
