The Position:
The overall mission of this position is to serve as a lead researcher for Ketchum in its Atlanta office and to service internal and external clients within Ketchum. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for raising the awareness of KGRN among account teams, providing outstanding service and strategic counsel to clients inside and outside the Agency, and raising the overall caliber of research at Ketchum.
Responsibilities include:
- Aiding in the preparation of research proposals, both to Ketchum Agency clients and to other outside companies who need research and measurement services.
- Designing and coordinating primary research projects, both qualitative and quantitative, under the guidance of senior staff. As such, responsibilities would include:
- Questionnaire design, banner/tabulation design, ad-hoc data analysis, production of research reports, discussion guide creation, and focus group moderation.
- Overall project management, including budget and vendor management.
- Designing and coordinating secondary research projects under the guidance of senior staff. As such, responsibilities would include:
- Developing target audience profiles, secondary research summaries, and trends reports.
- Being a supplier of consumer and business insights - not data dumps" - to account teams and new business teams.
- Interpreting MRI, Roper, Yankelovich and/or other types of secondary data.
- Management of traditional media measurement projects including media analyses, both standard media audits and those using proprietary techniques. This includes both manual and web-based methodologies.
- Management of social media and digital measurement analyses including conversation analyses, web analytics, etc.
- Having a visible role within the Atlanta office and hosting training sessions that educate account teams on research and measurement offerings.
- Providing advice and counsel to the SVP, Digital and Social Media Research on management, research issues, and new business opportunities in Atlanta.
- Maintaining an annual average billability of 75%.
- Managing mid to junior level staff on all projects to achieve individual billability goals.
- Grow and mentor junior staff.
Qualifications include:
- Client service, teamwork, and marketing orientation.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance.
- The ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- 5+ years of research experience; advanced degree in a relevant field desired but not necessary.
- Strong statistical, writing, and public speaking/presentation skills.
- Secondary research familiarity.
- Sample design knowledge.
- Research supplier/vendor/budget management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of social media measurement and social media monitoring tools, such as Radian6, Sysomos, etc.
- Knowledge of/Expertise in any or all of the following:
- Secondary databases, such as GfK MRI, Comscore, Yankelovich
- SPSS or similar statistical package capabilities
