Senior Project/Program Manager – Infrastructure Technology, M&A Space – Tier One IB recruitment
Our tier one investment banking client is currently recruiting for a senior program/project manager to manage a complex suite of projects within the mergers and acquisitions space.
You will be expected to oversee project execution in conjunction with other technology project managers, ensure adherence to governance processes, collect and analyse data to produce management reporting and manage key stakeholder relationships
It’s an exciting time for the bank and in particular this space and they are looking for an individual who is adept at working in a fast paced environment. It is imperative that you have a strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure. You will also be working very closely with the Corporate Real Estate function as they acquire new branches, companies and offices. Any experience in this field is keenly sought by our client.
Due to the governance, risk and compliance issues that will arise within this role it is key that you have experience of working in a PMO guise as well as dedicated project manager. As mentioned you will have a strong infrastructure background, specifically within (networks, desktop services etc). Due to the nature of mergers and acquisitions there may be some travel involved in the early stages of projects before operations can be managed out of London.
Other key requirements include:
- Strong project management and people management (Leadership) with proven track record of managing complex regional and global projects.
- Previous experience working in a matrix management environment
- Ability to work independently with remote and matrix management – self starter
- Experience in managing integration and deployment projects regionally and/or globally.
- Experience in managing MA activities
- Strong Microsoft Project skills
- Appropriate (industry recognised) project management certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly at every level (up, down and laterally)
- Identify and know and understand target audience
- Clear and concise communications of ideas, instructions
- Clear written and verbal communications (presentations)
- Conflict and influence management
- Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly at every level (up, down and laterally)
- Appreciation and understanding in working in a global environment with many diverse cultures
- Sound understanding of IT infrastructure

- Track record of delivering complex technology and / or MA projects and programmes.
