(SENIOR) PROPOSAL SPECIALIST recruitment
The successful candidate will be involved in completing and/or coordinating RFPs and other new business-related questionnaires, as well as due diligence questionnaires for existing clients, at varying levels of complexity. The role is highly interactive and requires close teamwork with internal clients including Sales and Product Management specialists. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one years RFP experience.
Core Responsibilities:
- Respond to new business and client maintenance requests with timely, high-quality documents:
- Prepare accurate, complete first drafts and polished final submissions that successfully move the firm to the next stage of the client’s selection process.
- Review all documents relating to new projects when assigned, to identify and capture all relevant requirements.
- For RFPs and other complex submissions, arrange a strategy development (kick-off) meeting and invite the appropriate participants in the process from Sales and Product Management.
- Prepare and circulate a summary of the key outcomes from the discussion, along with a Project Timeline for the submission.
- Work with Product Management and other business partners to prepare detailed proposal content (including Executive Summary, Cover Letter, Responses to Questions (text and/or data), Appendices and Attachments) that supports the agreed strategy.
- For RFPs and other complex submissions, arrange a learning review meeting and contribute to the discussion and preparation of the report.
- Share the key points from the review in team meetings, and complete any required actions subsequent to the review meeting.
- Sales/Consultant Relations/Client Service review.
- Make edits and revisions, verifying accuracy and ensuring all changes are captured appropriately in final version.
- Where assigned to other Proposal Specialist’s submissions; review for written style, grammar, punctuation, consistency, accuracy and compliance with clients’ original guidelines.
- Identify new or updated content for central system of RFP responses, distinguishing between opportunity-specific customization and generic content
- Participate in projects, process improvements or other initiatives as assigned.

Core Requirements:
- Demonstrated asset management proposal experience, preferably in a global environment. Additional general financial services or asset management experience is highly desirable.
- Detailed understanding of institutional and retail asset management, plus good knowledge of financial markets globally.
- Broad product knowledge, across equity, fixed income, real estate and alternatives (or experience/education to develop this knowledge quickly).
- University degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- CFA, IMC or other professional financial qualification or equivalent knowledge.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint Qvidian Software.
