Position Description:

Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Overview:

The primary role of the Senior Analyst is the creation of a test plan for a feature area or feature areas and the execution of the test strategy of that plan test plan. This may include providing level of effort, schedule ownership, writing a test plan/specification, writing test cases, test case execution, filing and regressing bugs and providing a detailed status report. Additionally, Senior QA Analysts have ownership in driving up the quality of the test artifacts that are produced by the team.
The Senior QA Analyst must be able drive up quality at a project level, spanning functions within a release of Oracle E-Business Suite. Ownership will span multiple features for each release. The Senior QA Analyst is expected to provide insightful feedback during project specification reviews that help to eliminate problems and issues at the specification level. The person will be active in all phase of planning and execution. The Senior QA Analyst must provide technical leadership within the QA organization and is expected to be able to work across team boundaries. At this stage, defect tracking activities are at the project level. The Senior QA Analyst is expected to mentor/direct the more junior QA Analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Track project/release level defects, issues and risks
• Reviews bugs prior to triage/project for validity and runs bug triage
• Develop test and release processes as well as develop test documentation
• Trusted member of the interview team/process; Expected to provide critical insightful feedback in the hiring process
• Mentors junior members of the team
• Coordinate training of 3rd party and offshore resources
• Write and present training materials in their areas of expertise
• Own multiple features during a test cycle work across releases and teams
• Will run complete test cycles for any projects with minimal supervision
• Contribute to the overall quality of the project release by reviewing requirements documents, technical designs, and other upstream documentation
• Collaborate with development and PM/Analysts achieve win-win outcomes
• Work effectively with internal business and technical stakeholders to ensure that our technical solutions meet their needs
• Coordinate with other functional test teams to eliminate gaps across the entire project
• Provide detailed status reports to all levels of management on critical issues related to QA
• Provide detailed reports on test passes to all groups
• Provide detailed insights for release quality that feed into release management
• Write automated test cases based on the framework provided
• Use deep knowledge of business systems to drive deep analysis of issues encountered
• Act as technical asset/SME for a major area(s)
• Build test plans for entire releases
• Deliver Level of Effort estimates for entire releases
• Coordinate schedules and efforts with other functional test teams
• Develop test and release processes as well as develop test documentation
• Use Oracle E-Business Suite to test its functionalities including interfaces

Qualifications:

• 7-9 years experiences, preferrably in Quality Assurance, Oracle E-Business Suite
• Full / deep knowledge of the SDLC
• Proven ability to mentor and grow the skills of junior team members
• Expert knowledge of White and Black Box testing methodologies required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Excellent time management skills
• Superior drive to meet schedules on time and with quality
• Ability to write/execute complex SQL queries
• Strong ability to use Oracle E-Business Suite to test functionalities and interfaces
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
