Position Overview
This position will be part of the Quality Organization in the Westborough Plan and mainly focused on the NPD program. Develop strong and capable process supporting Advance manufacturing Engineers from the pilot phase to the transfer to low cost countries. Sustain the low volume production with high revenue margin in US from the Quality standpoint.
Primary responsibilities
- Drive and manage elements of the APQP from design phase to pilot and launch.
- Transfer program from US to China
- Perform initial assessments of testing equipment to verify adequacy (GRR experience)
- Perform Capability Study, DOE study and stability study on the equipment before get release to production life cycle
- Maintain quality records related to NPD programs.
- On a daily basis, assess quality performance issues, set priorities, engage the required resources, and execute corrective/preventive action.
- On a daily basis, anticipate performance issues, and develop effective mitigation and contingency plans.
- On a routine basis, monitor and analyze quality data, identify issues, and take action to ensure the plant delivers on its quality commitments and continually improves.
- Engage daily with operators and technicians to identify opportunities and to drive improvement.
- Own short-term and mid-term improvement projects in support of the plant strategy, applying the best available methodologies and tools.
- Perform Internal, supplier audit focusing of product and/or quality system
- Partner with the Operations function to create a climate of rigorous operational discipline, continuous improvement, and daily learning.
- Ability to analyze RMAs/Customer returns for CAPA
Develop, implement, and own selected elements processes of the Plant with a focus on:
- Control of monitoring and measuring devices (MSA, calibration, etc.).
- Incoming product quality.
- Monitoring and measurement of manufacturing processes.
- Control of non-conforming product.
- Internal audits.
- Customer feedback and satisfaction.
- Corrective and preventive action.
- Control plan and safe launch plan
Partner with the Manufacturing Engineers to:
- Drive the PFMEA development.
- Perform root cause analyses with engineers on the rejected parts during the prototype, pilot phase.
- Continuously improve the robustness of control plans.

Education/Experience
- B.S. degree in Engineering; Electrical or Mechanical preferred.
- 5-10 years hands-on manufacturing a quality-related role.
- ISO 9001 knowledge required ( Internal audit certified preferred)
- TS16949 knowledge a plus.
- APQP knowledge
- Strong computers and software knowledge: Microsoft Office, Oracle, Agile
