Senior Quality Engineer Job in Jackson 45640, Ohio Us

Functionally responsible for designing, developing, coordinating and deploying work instructions/procedures and associated process controls for the assigned product line/family. Develops process improvements and cost control programs throughout the plant. Reviews customer/industry/internal specifications to ensure compliance with stated requirements. Provides technical support to operations, customers, and suppliers as needed. Provide training and supervise others as required.

Completes Quality Engineering assignments with minimal supervision.

Define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes.

Lead and/or provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams assigned to continuous improvement teams / problem solving teams / product development teams.

Develop pFMEAs and Control Plans per AIAG standard.

Assure that product shipped meets internal and external customer requirements.

Develop and implement corrective actions including verification activities.

Host Customer and Third Party Auditors as needed.

Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers as needed.

Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards. Ensure these documents align with the recognized Aerospace Quality System Standard as well as Eaton Objectives, Policies and Procedures.

Perform MSA and process capability studies for key and significant characteristics.

Provide technical guidance to less experienced Quality Engineers.

Supervise other personnel as assigned or required.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to read and understand blue prints, specifications, and requirements.

Knowledge of assembly operations, gauging, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100).

Familiarity with MS Office software.

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)or Certified Quality Auditor(CQA)

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics or technical degree.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum 1 year of experience in performing Quality Audits.

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
