Senior quantitative strategy researcher/System developer – Germany
A strong and successful European investments firm are looking to add an experienced senior quantitative researcher to their group in Berlin.
The firm have offices in both Switzerland and Berlin and are keen to continue the growth of the firm.
You will be hired into a role which will see you being involved in the development of the quantitative trading systems in addition to researching, developing and improving the existing quantitative trading strategies.
In order to apply you must have:-
- Demonstrable experience in a high grade research environment within the financial sector (preferably hedge funds)
- (Demonstrable ability in creating well researched robust trading systems combined with an excellent knowledge of how to avoid over fitting.)
- Good knowledge of finance, in particular the futures/forwards space and/or forex.
- German speaking and fluent spoken and written business English
- A structured working style
- A university degree (Bachelor, Master or PhD) in a quantitative discipline
- Demonstrable skill in statistics and numerical techniques, such as optimization
- You should be well versed in at least one high level mathematics package, preferably with Matlab or S-Plus/R. Other languages are a plus
- Knowledge of Object Orientated programming would be advantageous particularly in Java or C#
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a role where you will have the ability to think freely and work in a Green field development of new trading approaches in addition to Supporting the sales force, answering client enquiries.
German Language skills are essential.
