Senior Quantity Surveyor
A Specialist Ground Engineering and Piling contractor that provides ground engineering solutions in a range of sectors is seeking Senior QS for prestigious schemes in Central London.
The Ideal Person must be: Degree or similar qualification in a construction related subject, Piling Experience, Good knowledge of contract law, Quantity surveying experience gained with a specialist contractor, preferably in the Piling Sector, Good track record of imaginative dispute management, particularly dispute avoidance, Experience of Remeasurable, Lump Sum, and Target Cost form of contract, contractual commercial awareness, including the ability to identify, evaluate, and manage contractual and commercial risks and opportunities
Responsibilities:
- Review and negotiate contractual documentation with our clients, including ensuring that the final documents are prepared and executed in compliance with company procedures
- Ensure that applications for payment are accurately valued, prepared and submitted on time
- Liaise with clients to agree monthly valuations and final accounts, and ensure that we receive prompt payment
- Ensure that commercial and contractual matters are properly administered on projects, e.g. ensuring prompt submission of notices and evaluation of variations
- Dispute avoidance, resolution of disputes, and referral of major disputes to the Commercial Manager
- Prepare, collate, check, and monitor various commercial forecasts and reports for projects
- Contractual negotiation and administration of sub-contractors, including valuation and payment.
- Produce commercial risk assessments for projects, mitigate and manage identified risks, and produce relevant reports
- Review enquiry documentation and input into the tender preparation
- Supervision and guidance of subordinate commercial staff
