Job Title: Senior Regulatory Analyst
This leading South African Investment Bank are currently looking to hire a Senior Regulatory Analyst into their Reg team. Due to the increasing importance of managing regulatory capital efficiently this is a crucial role and as such they are looking for an experienced Regulatory Accountant with extensive Basel II working knowledge, to join on a minimum 6 month contract.
The Role:
* Production of standardised market risk capital calculations (BIPRU 7) and overall capital reports on a daily basis for distribution to management.
* Working closely with the Regulatory Policy team, Business Analysts as well as liaising with Risk, Finance and FO.
* Produce detailed variance analysis and commentary for use by the Regulatory team and the Business
* Analyse existing reporting processes to ensure that they are effectively controlled and increase the efficiency and accuracy of the information produced.
The Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant and an excellent academic background.
* Good working knowledge of Basel II and market risk rules, gained from working in the Risk or Regulatory team within a leading Investment Bank.
* Experience of working on Basel II / Regulatory projects, ideally leading on these projects.
* Strong product knowledge, covering Capital Markets, Money Markets and Commodities.
* Must be available on short notice (Maximum 2 week notice period)
