Senior Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking recruitment

The main responsibility of this role is to develop and maintain client relationships in a predefined allocated team by directly handling strategic / complex relationships thereby improving portfolio profitability and quality of asset base. The role will include managing one team member with a view to growing the team moving forward. Other key responsibilities include:

- managing a portfolio of at least 20 large corporate relationships with commitments in excess of QAR 50m each.

- identify and establish new relationships, consistent with the bank's commercial objectives.

- cross sell the bank's products.

- maintain an understanding of broad competitive trends including pricing, new companies entering the market, large projects and financing opportunities.

- identify, monitor and mitigate risk across customer portfolio to ensure that the bank is not exposed to inappropriate levels of risk and financial loss to the bank is minimised.

- contribute to the preparation of portfolio MIS according to prescribed schedules so that performance information is available to support the Team Leader.

- operationally resolve customer service issues by interacting with internal support functions.

- target and concentrate on attracting new customers in order to increase the bank's profitability, widen the customer base whilst minimising risk.

Skills / experience required:

- post graduate degree in business of accounting.

- Bilingual (Arabic / English)

- 6-8 years of relevant Corporate Banking experience with 2-3 years as a Senior Relationship Manager.

- Advance credit structuring skills

- exceptional knowledge of corporate banking products / services particularly trade finance, contract finance etc.

- Regional experience is essential
