Our IBG - Corporate Investment Banking is responsible for driving core advisory relationships to corporate customers across a range of industries. These include telecommunications, media and technology; real estate; energy, chemical and infrastructure; shipping and aviation; financial institutions; manufacturing; multi-industries and commerce and the public sector.
We also have a team that raises debt capital for our customers in the international syndicated loan market. This involves originating, structuring, underwriting, executing and syndicating a wide variety of capital-raising transactions across Asia.
Responsibilities
- Develop DBS’ Energy, Chemical and Infrastructure regional franchise, in terms of key account strategies, client acquisition and industry segmental focus.
- Pitch for and execute various debt, capital markets and GTS mandates so as to grow the team’s revenue from both interest and fee income.
- Identify pertinent risk related issues and devise effective solutions.
- Formulate, develop and set marketing strategies, including industry segment coverage.
- Play role of senior transactor for more complex projects and transactions.
- Oversee and review work procedures to ensure quality and compliance in execution.
- Develop and coach team members, in particular providing guidance to reporting Vice Presidents so as to prepare them for greater leadership responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree holder with at least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate and investment banking.
- Knowledge on credit analytics, credit account and transactional management; corporate finance and business analytics; banking products and services; loan and security documentation.
- Strong credit and financial analytical skills.
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Strong team player with ability to foster trust and rapport with team members.
