Sr. Release Engineer Position Overview:
This role will be a key member of the TechOps team focused on managing Zuora application release cycles for all Zuora global environments. This role will be responsible for developing our going forward strategy for source code control management including branch/build/deploy mechanisms for all Zuora application environments including production and non-production. The role will need to work seamlessly across Engineering, QA, and TechOps teams to effectively manage application code.
Position Requirements:
-BS Degree preferred
-7-10+ years of experience managing source code control systems and application releases across multiple environments for geographically diverse development teams
-Fluent in source code control systems including best practices for branching, merging, building, and deploying code in open source environments
-Significant experience with managing applications composed of Java, ActiveMQ, Tomcat, Apache, MySQL, and Linux required
-Ability to digest monitoring signals and take action accordingly (determine health of a release, build process to manage)
-An expert in change management and ideally experience in ITIL-based principles and methodologies
-Able to partner with QA to streamline product development life cycles and add value to development effectiveness and productivity
