Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Reliability Engineer in Knoxville, TN. This position will be part of the Systems Engineering team within our RD organization. This role will drive the definition and execution of a comprehensive reliability program for clinical PET-CT systems and drive the design and integration of features that support LCC and Serviceability content deployed on those systems. Additional areas of responsibility include the development of system level reliability targets consistent with desired Lifecycle cost (LCC) of installed systems; allocation of system targets to major subsystems and critical components; evaluation of component/subassy/system reliability metrics during design phase; coordination of FMEA analysis to drive design, component selection, and test strategy for major subsystems; and design and execution of reliability test strategy for major system releases. Role will also entail the ongoing monitoring of service reporting from the installed base as input to the reliability program and provide recommendations for reliability improvements.

Education: Advanced (MS) degree or equivalent combination of education and experience relating to reliability engineering. ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer preferred. Experience with Relex or Lamda SW tools is highly preferred.
Knowledge: Must have working knowledge of Statistics/Probability as applied to Reliability Engineering.
Experience with prediction and verification of components, module and subsystem MTBFs(Mean Time Between Failures) Also familiarity with reliability software used for MTBF predictions.
Reliability test planning and testing -- product stress screening/ accelerated life/demonstration, Working knowledge of stress test methodologies i.e. HALT, ALT, etc.
Reliability Growth methods to test results during iterative development in order to assess fielded reliability.
Design and Process failure modes/effects/criticality analysis, (FMECA)
Perform LCC analysis and evaluate financial tradeoffs to provide guidance for design decisions
