Senior Reporting Manager — SAP Business Objects recruitment
Working within the Operational Excellence business unit, your role will be to implement best practice in the development and production of high quality business and performance reports to support the achievement of business targets and outcomes, by strategically bringing to life all elements of the BI software and systems for the organisation.
With your solid background in business intelligence, you will take a lead role in managing business intelligence requirements, designing specifications for new Business Intelligence performance monitoring systems and assessing and cultivating long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with end users, managers and other stakeholders.
Your key accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver and execute on a robust program of work designed to deliver detailed analytical and reporting-driven solutions for Operations Technology
- Perform analysis on existing business intelligence and reporting capabilities and architectures to identify opportunities for improvement
- Skills and experience developing and producing business intelligence reports to support decision making. Capable of developing and delivering fully automated analytical and reporting solutions utilising tools and data sources including SAP BI4, SQL Server and VBA
- Deliver operational improvements through analytical initiatives aimed to improving efficiency and effectiveness. Provide recommendations for operational direction and strategy based on statistical performance
- Ensure all relevant reporting is delivered to internal customers on time, efficiently and adhering to agreed quality and accuracy standards
- Communicating key areas of opportunities to the business stake holders and instilling a service value-add culture in every activity and interaction performed by the Operational Excellence business unit
- Complete analysis of data and key metrics as required, determining opportunities for productivity and quality improvements, and making recommendations to management to drive continuous improvement in business performance
To be successful in this position you must have the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience of direct application of data warehousing design principles, data modelling concepts, ETL, and performance techniques within a SAP integrated heterogeneous reporting landscape
- Demonstrated experience in using business intelligence platforms and tools including SAP BW/BI, Business Objects, Oracle and SQL
- Experience implementing business aligned BI strategies and architectures in large organisations
- Experience in senior business intelligence and reporting roles directly or indirectly leading staff to achieve reporting and BI outcomes
- Experience establishing company standards for business intelligence and reporting
- Demonstrated experience in effective team management and strong skills in stake holder management
- Superior communications skills a seasoned negotiator
