Senior Research Analyst – Derivatives recruitment

Role requirements

The successful candidate will support the production, through data analysis, of consistent high quality research, public policy and educational material to support the company objectives. He/she will be responsible for presenting accurate technical information at various levels as part of conferences, by producing reports and giving up to date advice to key clients and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

• MSc in a quantitative discipline, ideally Mathematics, Finance or Engineering

Knowledge, Skills Experience (Essential):

• Written and spoken English to native fluency

• Knowledge of OTC derivatives gained either in a leading investment bank or through extended study/association with the derivatives industry including in depth knowledge of at least one of (equity derivatives, interest rate derivatives, credit derivatives, commodity derivatives)

• Good knowledge of financial markets, infrastructure and regulation including a good understanding in detail of at least one OTC derivatives market (as above).

Knowledge, Skills Experience (Desirable):

• Proven ability to execute a research plan

• Good knowledge of financial regulation including the regulatory/legal environment in the US or EU. Good relationships with regulators/supervisors. Has the ability to assess the effects on markets of current and future regulatory proposals.
