Senior Research Assistant – Bank Loan Ratings

The primary objective of the role is to support the Bank Loan Ratings Product Manager in a variety of areas including research and analysis, internal reporting, the preparation of materials for external meetings/presentations and client service. The role will be critical to ensuring that the BLR Product Manager is able to spend as much time in the market as possible developing the business opportunities.
Essential Accountability:
• Compiling, synthesizing and analysing data from both external public sources and internal private sources to support the Product Manager's efforts to develop our presence in the loan markets. Ensuring that the product manager is aware of market developments.
• Assisting in the preparation and execution of the detailed product plan for the region focusing on strategies for expansion and opportunities to cooperate with Cap IQ and LCD.
• Preparation of materials/presentations to support external outreach by the Product Manager for both meetings and presentations at conferences.
• Coordinating activities around the pipeline of new loan rating opportunities in close collaboration with CBM, Inside Sales, DSO and analytical management with the aim of ensuring that all opportunities are being acted upon and tracked.
• Preparation of both regular and ad hoc internal reporting on the loan markets including database support, market research and general marketing efforts.
• The development and maintenance of an effective system for tracking market penetration.
• Responding to external queries and dealing with requests from market participants when the Product Manager is not in the office
Qualifications
Required:
• Knowledge of the finance markets in general and the loan markets in particular gained from prior work experience is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manipulate data
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy whilst complying with deadlines
• Degree level education required
