Senior Risk Analyst

What will the role involve?
- Responsible for providing oversight assurance to Global Payments Business Leaders, ensuring conformance to all relevant Risk processes and policies and the application of appropriate controls within Global Payments (GP) both in the UK and Globally.
- Maintain overall Risk governance and control program for business area.
- Identification of new and emerging risks and design of suitable yet commercial control environment to provide protection
- Identification and resolution of control issues and themes including managing the resolution of audit and other BU control issues (CIGLS / CICLS etc)
- Review the quality and consistency of the implementation of the Control framework across business unit
- Establish consolidated control reporting and ensure consistency, quality, completeness and accuracy of control reporting
- Interact with the key stakeholders - Operational Risk, Operational Control, Audit, Finance (SOX), Legal and compliance
- Ensure Governance oversight is in place in business area around the management of Issues, Observations, Testing, Incidents
Key Accountabillities:
- Embed and Manage the Risk and Control Framework
- Implement an effective and efficient control framework to ensure achievement of business objectives and protect against fraud. Implement key and remove non-key controls where appropriate.
- Co-ordinate the documentation and assessment of controls in the Risk Control Assessments (RCA) and ensure design and operating control assessments remain up to date
- Identify potential opportunities to streamline control framework through removal of non critical controls and ensure focus on key controls
- Ensuring processes and applications are "PCA Compliant" and preventing the introduction of new non PCA compliant processes
- To be a point of contact for Business Leaders in relation to issues/directives relating to Risk and Security management.
- Production of MI and commentary of instances relating to Operational Risk.
- Review action plans following conformance testing and track to resolution, performing Design Effectiveness Assessment and Operational Effectiveness Testing on completed actions prior to closure.
- To undertake Quality Assurance for Audit, CIGLS, RCA and Self-Assessment risk actions across Global Payments.
Process/Change Management
- Support Global Payments to improve control effectiveness on Risks following incident/risk analysis.
- Support Risk Management activities prior to, and during change implementation.
- Identify opportunities to improve service/reduce costs through the elimination of non-conformance/improvement to controls process related.
Coaching and Development
- Provide assistance as necessary to ensure that the Business has the knowledge and awareness of regulatory requirements, risk practice and methodology.
- Provide assistance, as necessary, to coach and develop team members.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues in order to deliver continuous improvement to the team.

Essential

- Knowledge of the relevant regulatory governance and compliance policies.
- Ability to interact with senior staff.
Preferred
- Knowledge of Global Payments Business Systems and applications.
- Knowledge of product range and services provided by the Bank's Operational and IT suppliers
- Knowledge of the operational and technical architecture of the infrastructure environment provided by GRCB Technology.
- Knowledge of process/services managed within Global Payments.
Essential
- Experience and application of risk management policies and detailed knowledge of current Information risk policies and regulatory change impacting the financial sector.
- Experience in stakeholder management.
Preferred
- Experience of working within a financial institution
